Brighter Minds Tuition works with children, so we hold personal information carefully and keep as little of it as we can. If you want anything explained, or want your details removed, email hello@brighterminds-tuition.co.uk and we will deal with it.

Who we are

Brighter Minds Tuition, founded and run by Talia Adanna, provides 1:1 and small group online tuition for primary children. For the purposes of UK data protection law we are the data controller for the information described below.

What we collect

What we do with it

We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to anyone for marketing.

Our lawful bases

We rely on legitimate interests to respond to an enquiry you have sent us, on performance of a contract to deliver tuition you have booked, and on legal obligation to keep financial records. Where we ever ask to use a photograph or a piece of your child's work, we rely on your consent, asked for separately and in writing, and you can withdraw it at any time.

Information about children

We keep information about a child to the minimum needed to teach them well. A parent or guardian gives us that information, sees the session notes we write, and can ask us to correct or delete anything. We never publish a child's full name, photograph or work without written permission from their parent or guardian.

Who else sees it

A small number of service providers process information on our behalf, for example our website host, our email provider and our payment provider. They act only on our instructions. We will also disclose information if the law requires it, or if there is a safeguarding concern that we are obliged to report, which we would raise with the appropriate authority.

How long we keep it

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you or your child, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our using it. Email hello@brighterminds-tuition.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are not happy with how we have handled it you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

This site does not set advertising or analytics cookies. If that changes we will ask for your consent first and update this notice.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle information we will update this page and change the date at the top.
